Get Internet with the Affordable Connectivity Program

March 13, 2023, 3:12 pm

Americans can now apply to receive discounted internet service with the Affordable Connectivity Program. This government assistance program was created last year to help eligible low-income households afford access to the internet. Some households may also qualify to receive a one-time discount on the purchase of a device such as a computer, laptop or tablet from participating providers.

Eligibility to receive internet assistance is based on:

  • Household income
  • Whether you or a dependent participate in certain other government assistance programs, like SNAP, Medicaid or Lifeline

Visit for more information, to see if you qualify, and to access the list of participating service providers. Or, you can skip straight to the Affordable Connectivity Program application.
