Get Involved!
Since 1988 Habitat for Humanity has been working to help provide shelter for local residents through their Homebuying Program, Home Preservation & Repair, and Neighborhood Revitalization efforts. Each of these programs assist residents of Greene, Christian, and Webster counties obtain a home or make needed repairs to their current home. There are multiple ways to get involved. Every helping hand can make a difference. In the past year 5,785 individuals volunteered at the construction sites, in the ReStore, or during special events.
Volunteer:
Construction skills are not required! Volunteers will be taught any skills they need to best help with the build sites. If construction isn’t your thing the Neighborhood Clean-up focuses on outdoor tasks like mowing, trimming, and raking. The ReStore also needs volunteers to assist with organization, intake of donations, and helping customers. Contact Aaron Norrick at 829-4001 x112 about volunteering.
ReStore:
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a nonprofit store selling home improvement items. The selection is always changing but the store offers new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories and building materials. The items are donated by local residents. The ReStore is located at 2410 S Scenic Ave in Springfield, MO with hours Monday through Saturday from 9am -5:30pm.

The Raise the Roof fundraiser is May 9, 2017! This is a ONE day ONLINE campaign as part of #GiveOzarks. Funds raised through the “Raise the Roof” campaign will be used to complete a roof repair through habitat for Humanity’s home repair program, or assist with building a new roof for a future home build. The goal is $5,000.
