Tips for Physical Wellness

With summer and warmer weather fast approaching, it’s the time of year to start thinking about your physical wellness. Whether that be changing your diet to include in season produce or getting more active to take advantage of the nicer weather. Here are some tips to help improve your physical wellness:

  1. Kick sedentary behavior to the curb.
  2. Maintain/build your muscles with strength training activities.
  3. Daily stretching to help relax and reduce muscle tension.
  4. Find a healthy weight to lower health risks.
  5. Eating a healthy diet.
  6. Watch your metabolism to help reduce weight gain.
  7. Build healthy habits to create and sustain a healthy lifestyle.
  8. Get enough sleep, 7-9 hours preferably.

Implementing all or just a few of these tips can help keep your body working properly, reduce unwanted health issues and risks, and to help improve your mental wellbeing. While using these tips can help you achieve and maintain physical wellbeing, it is just as important to continue wellness checks and to set up your annual visit with your PCP.
